A Weekend at Nana and Poddy's!

This past weekend, we had the chance to go down to my parents and hang out for General Conference. Before we even left the house, Gavin was so excited and kept saying "Nana House, Poddy House!" (In our family, the grandkids call our mom Nana and our dad Poppy. Unfortunately for my dad, Gavin says "Poddy" instead of "Poppy!") We had a great time hanging out with the entire fam, including Kristin's new boyfriend Dan. (He's a keeper by the way!)

On Saturday afternoon, my dad took some family pictures of us, and if you have kids, I am sure you can imagine what a challenge it was! Ty was pretty good, but Gavin did not want to sit down for one second. Instead, he wanted to run down the hill we were sitting on and go play at the park. Needless to say, it was quite the experience, but fortunately we got some good ones!

After pictures, all the boys decided to be... well, boys! They ran down the hill, played at the park, and of course pulled plenty of grass. Shockingly enough, Gavin didn't even get his church clothes too dirty! Later, the guys all went to Priesthood while the girls went shopping. As part of our Conference tradition, we all met up afterwards at Joe Vera's Restaurant in Provo for dinner and got our food in record time (under 10 minutes)! Now THAT'S what I call service!

On Sunday, we all just hung out and took a quick trip up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls. The little boys had a great time throwing rocks in the water, while the adults just talked and took pictures (including some nice potential engagement pictures of Dan and Kristin, don't you think? haha, JUST KIDDING KRISTIN!!!). Overall, we had such a great time. After all, there's nothing better than family! And of course, Conference was great too. ;) It always reminds me how grateful I am for our Church and the knowledge we have that so many others don't. Until next time! -Ash

What a good looking family! Sounds like a fun weekend in Orem (if that's possible) Love Poddy (I hope Gavin learns to pronounce his P's soon!)
